Business personal property includes your tables, desks, chairs and equipment. Some policies include business income coverage. What does business income cover? This coverage may reimburse you for the net income that would have been earned if fire or other covered causes of loss occur. You may also be able to get coverage for earthquake and flood damage. Depending on the location of your office, you may not be able to obtain earthquake and/or flood damage insurance.
There are many different types of liabilities to cover a business. Liability insurance may protect you from claims arising from customer bodily or personal injuries. Other items that could be covered are damage to the property of others, advertising, premises, fire, legal liability and related legal defense costs.
Professional liability insurance protects your business against claims resulting from professional services rendered by you to your clients.
