The American Electrology Association (AEA) is the largest international nonprofit membership organization for permanent hair removal professionals. The AEA promotes the highest standards in electrology education, practice and ethics standards, and champions state licensing to protect the public interest.

The Association plays a key role in providing reliable and scientifically accurate information to its membership, the public, the medical community, and government agencies.

Membership Applications

When joining between July 1 and November 1 membership dues are prorated and your membership will be paid up for the current year and all of the following year.

New Members

  • Open the New Member Application Form and find the application form and dues amount for your state by scrollng down the pages until you reach your state's application form. For the states listed below, please also fill out an send the additional Affiliate application.
  • Bookmark (or indicate page numbers on print window) and print only the page you need. If your state is not listed, use the page for Unaffiliated.
  • You must include documentation of schooling and/or state licensing.
  • Accepted payment is by check or credit card.
  • Send all documentation and application to:

  • Print out this form to renew by mail.
  • Select your State below for price and enter total in the space designated for Amount due.

    Note: Between July 1 and November 1, renewal amounts are prorated for non-current memberships to cover your membership for both this year and next year.
