American Electrology Association Expands Scholarship Program Affiliated state electrologist organizations and electrology schools work together to provide opportunities. March 17, 2011
WENATCHEE, WA - Mar 17, 2011 . The American Electrology Association (AEA), American Institute of Education (AIE), and New Hampshire Electrolysis Association (NHEA) today announce that the electrolysis education scholarship program successfully launched in 2010 will be expanded in 2011 to include additional scholarship opportunities.
The American Institute of Education will once again award to the winner a 600 hour full-tuition electrology scholarship to AIE. Upon graduation and fulfillment of state requirements, the winner will also receive a free one-year membership to the American Electrology Association and a free Apilus Senior II machine donated by Aesthetics Systems USA, Inc.
The AIE scholarship package was a life-changer for Judy Morgan, who was awarded the inaugural scholarship in 2010. "Without this scholarship, I could have never gone back to school, gotten licensed, and gone into business," says Morgan. "It's a dream come true to be self-sufficient after being downsized."
AIE will also expand the scholarship program in 2011 by awarding partial electrology tuition scholarships to AIE to two runners-up.
Current or prospective electrology students who are residents of New Hampshire have an additional opportunity this year. New Hampshire Electrolysis Association, the New Hampshire affiliate organization of AEA, will award a $500 scholarship to an electrology student from their state.
"We are so excited that AIE decided to not only continue, but to expand the program," says Jeannie M. Bush, RDH, RE, CPE, LI, Director, Council on Education for the AEA. "Plus, with NHEA getting on board, we have high hopes that more schools and organizations will add to this scholarship program and provide more and more opportunities for people to enter the electrology profession."
